built before the Civil War on land deeded to
the family by King George III of England. The
style is Greek Revival with Italianate influences
and features elaborate plaster moldings with
winding staircase. Most recently, this plantation
home was the set for the movie Devine Secrets
of the YaYa Sisterhood. Located just 15 miles
